Registrations – new season 2023 / 24
Managers / Coaches will be asking parents to sign up and register for the new 2023/24 season soon and we ask for your help by providing the information as promptly as possible. It really helps to get everyone registered.
Don’t forget to complete the:
Players Members form – (document hub on the website) this must be completed for each player and provides important consent (Medical / Photos / Club Governance)
‘Volunteers form’ (document hub on the website) for any role you play as part of the team (this includes Managers, Coaches, and Parent Helpers)
Respect – We all play a part
Your support as parents wearing the ‘Respect Steward’ Hi-vis at every match does not go unnoticed.(this is a league requirement) It sends a powerful message to everyone involved in youth football that we all have a role to play in creating a positive and enjoyable environment for our children to develop their skills and love for the game.
We believe every child deserves a safe and supportive environment to play football, where they can learn, grow, and have fun. With your continued support, we can create the best possible atmosphere for everyone involved.
So, thank you once again for your dedication and for being an active participant in nurturing a positive football culture. Together, we can make a lasting impact on our children’s lives and help them thrive both on and off the pitch.

Registrations, club membership forms, ordering kits/equipment, maintenance on the goals, clearing out our Container, / Shed, the list goes on.
To help we ask parents to respond to any of your team managers’ requests for information or time to help as promptly as you can.
We will also as a club be sharing over the weeks leading up to the new season some reminders of what we all need to do to ensure we create the best environment for our children to play football the game we love.
Look out for these from your team managers
Soccer Tots
Soccer Tots – Back September 4th
Great to see our 2 new U7 teams in action over the summer and getting ready for their footballing journey. It was a privilege to see them play a friendly and to see how much they have developed already and play good passing football, well-done coaches and good luck.
Saturday 4th September we will be starting back with Soccer Tots with 2 sessions. Soccer Tots is open to boys and girls (must be at least age 3+) and we will run 2 sessions, it is £3.50 per session.
To register your child (we are using SPOND) please complete the relevant link below
09.00 – 10.00 – Pre School & Reception year (September 23)
10.15 – 11.15 – School Year 1 (September 23)
**All parents & Guardians must stay with their children, this is not child care**
All sessions will be run by a Qualified lead coach who is DBS cleared and have relevant First aid and safeguarding certifications.
Parent Helper – Volunteers
As a ‘Parent Helper,’ you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the boys & girls and help create a fun and safe environment for them to learn and enjoy football. Your support will be invaluable in assisting the coaches and allowing them to focus on individual development within smaller groups.
We understand that volunteering requires time and effort, and as a token of our appreciation for your commitment, the club is willing to cover the costs of the relevant DBS certification. This will ensure that all volunteers are eligible and suitable to work with children, providing peace of mind for both parents and the club.
By becoming a ‘Parent Helper,’ you not only get to witness the progress and growth of your child first-hand, but you also play a significant role in fostering a love for the sport in other children as well. Your involvement will contribute to a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. You are there watching your children so why not get involved?
We encourage you to consider this opportunity and join us in creating a supportive and engaging environment for the boys & girls. Together, we can help develop their football skills and cultivate their passion for the beautiful game.
If you are interested please contact Jerome 07774127866
Here are our new U7 Teams getting ready for September 2023. Thank you Emma, Richard, James, Beth, Jack and Zaki for starting out as volunteers and joining in the fun.
Girls football update
1 year on and our girl’s football continues to thrive. Our U13 team finished the year much stronger than they started, even managing a win along the way. The improvement in their performances was clearly visible. We also continue to offer training to the U8-U12 age group and despite it taking longer than we hoped, Lee and I were able to step away and focus on the U13 team a month ago thanks largely to Chris Joliffe who has stepped forward to help out. In fact, things are looking so good, we are very likely to be in a position to enter a second team into the Hampshire girls football league at the U11 age group. That all said, we need more volunteers so please if anyone knows of a parent who would be interested please send them my way.
Anyway, back to the U13’s. Despite a difficult season, the girls never gave up and in late June we entered our first-ever tournament. I am sure everyone thought we would be the easy team to beat but they surprised everyone by topping their group. However, as we have seen so many times with our national team, heartbreak followed by way of a penalty shootout loss (main picture) . That all said, the girls absolutely loved every minute of it and they showed just how far they have come.
I wanted to say a big shout-out to Kris & Natalie Johnston and Darryl & Debbie Saunders, both sets of parents have stepped forward and offered to sponsor us next season. Thank you guys its really appreciated. We also had the added bonus of Lee’s brother-in-law sponsoring us and an unbelievable donation from one of our girls (Evie) Nan. All we can say is thank you it makes such a big difference.
Finally here is a picture of our player of the season Larissa, you will notice the shield. This has plenty of space on it and we hope becomes a legacy for many years to come for all of our Fleur’s girls teams.
Coaches Corner As coaching evolves, it does not matter how experienced we are, we can always learn and in youth football, our parents can play a huge part by understanding what we are coaching your children. Perhaps have a read and have a discussion with your coach & other parents. We are all in this together.
Tournaments are a great way to have a lot of fun, playing differently, with different formations and different positions is all about development, playing with your friends just makes it the best time ever.
Here are some pictures of lots of fun and a bit of raising money, well done U10 Warriors:
